Hybrid Animal Sound Synthesis
A modular physical modeling synthesis plugin.

The Hybrid Animal Sound Synthesis project is an advanced audio plugin designed for sound designers and musicians. It leverages physical modeling synthesis to create novel hybrid animal sounds in real-time. The core of the plugin is a modular architecture that allows users to combine different sound source models (like cords and air tubes) with various resonators and environmental effects.
Prototyped initially in Max/MSP for rapid experimentation, the final plugin was implemented in C++ using the JUCE framework, ensuring high performance and cross-platform compatibility (VST, AU, AAX). The graphical user interface provides intuitive control over all synthesis parameters, including envelope shaping and pitch contours, enabling the creation of dynamic and expressive sounds that are difficult to achieve with traditional sample-based methods.
